Newborn sessions may be held in your home or our studio, preferably within the first 6-10 days of birth for that sleeping curled up look.

Maternity, children and family sessions may be held in your home, on location or in the studio. Urban settings are great for teen sessions. Depending on the time of year and the style you are looking for will determine where we go. Parks and beaches are fun and playful for the kids. The studio is great for a more classic look but we will make sure everyone is relaxed and having fun so individual personalities shine through.

Newborn Sessions

My motto with newborns is less is more. If there is a special outfit or hat we can incorporate it into the session, otherwise we will use textured blankets and fabrics that will photograph wonderfully against the bare skin of your newborn.

Maternity Sessions

Maternity portraits are designed to show off your gorgeous belly! Bringing several outfits will allow us flexibility and we will talk through some ideas during your consultation.

Children and Family Sessions

When choosing outfits for the session, keep it simple. Solid colors are a good choice while patterns and stripes can be distracting. Try to choose clothing that is similar in color-family and tonal range.

Family portrait sessions are an investment. If these images will be used as art on your walls, please keep in mind the style and colors used in your home. If you are interested in a contemporary children's session, you will want to use outfits with bold colors and great textures. In any case, please avoid large logos, words, and bold stripes. Whatever colors and style you decide on will be secondary to the beautiful moments we will capture of your family being themselves.

My style is clean and classic, I don't often use props or elaborate backdrops. My goal is to capture your child's individual personality. I want everyone to be relaxed and enjoying themselves as much as I do during a session, especially the kids. If they are having fun it will show through in the images without mom or dad forcing them to say cheese! We will all have lots of fun - just think of your session as a family play date!
