It was my beautiful grandmother's 80th birthday this week. She requested a mini photo shoot during our party over the weekend. I was able to capture my grandparents exactly how they are with us - laughing, being silly, and being absolutely lovely.
Happy Birthday, Nuni-I love you dearly.

My brother, Casey, is the awesome coach of the varsity girls and boys volleyball teams at Walter Payton High School. I was lucky enough to photograph the city championship game a couple of weeks ago where his JV and Varsity girls teams both won the city championship. The varsity team has since blown through the regional and sectional games and is heading to Bloomington tomorrow to play in the state finals. I wish them all the best and congratulate them on their incredible season.

Yuliana & Nick

Thanks for your patience while I went through a very busy spell and have been unable to post for a while. But, I have lots of fabulous and fun images to show you and I'll start with Yuli and Nick.

Yuli and Nick had a gorgeous Saturday in October. We started the day on the northwest side of Chicago for a lovely ceremony and then out to Des Plaines for an evening reception - with a couple of stops along the way for some fun pictures.

Jannine & Lee

Last weekend Jannine and Lee had a fabulous wedding at a very cool art and antique store, Architectural Artifacts in Ravenswood. The week before the wedding we tried to have an outdoor engagement session. Since the weather didn't want to cooperate until late in the day, we had fun using the treasures within Architectural Artifacts.

Alex & Emily

It was so great to see an old friend and colleague last week. She moved out to California several years ago and on a visit back to Chicago I finally got to meet and photograph her two beautiful daughters. We had great weather as we played in Lincoln Park and Emily napped and then came back to the studio to photograph Emily in all her baby chubbiness. Irma, it was so great too see you and it was wonderful meeting your girls. I hope it doesn't take that long for us to see each other again. Hopefully, Justin can join us for our next photo session.

Eccher Family

As summer was quickly fading, I was able to spend the day with one of my favorite dancers and her beautiful family. Garfield Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to photograph. It has a lot of different areas, each one as lovely as the next. The Ecchers are always a dream to work with and a seriously gorgeous little girl with some of the best expressions on a little one.

Last week I got the opportunity to spend a morning with Yuli and Nick for their engagement session. We started by the Planetarium because it's where they shared their first kiss and then we headed over to Lincoln Park Conservatory and the Lily Pond. They are a gorgeous couple who were so easy to photograph. I can't wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks!
